How it works

The Salt Room

The micro climate in the Salt Room is formed naturally, through convective diffusion from the salt walls, the climate in the room is temperature and humidity controlled to simulate that of a salt cave. The treatment was first discovered by Dr. Botchkovsky in 1843 in salt mines, the doctor discovered that salt caves could be used as a treatment for respiratory diseases. [Source: New England Journal of Medicine] Since, Salt Rooms in Eastern Europe and Russia have experienced a growth in artificial salt caves as a means for treatment of respiratory diseases.

Salt Therapy is 100% natural, drug-free and non-invasive. During a session of salt therapy patients sit in a comfortable chair in a 'cave-like' room where salt particles cover the floor and walls. The patient listens to relaxing music and just breathes normally. Therapy sessions are 45 minutes in length.

Consult your doctor and ask if it can complement the treatment of your respiratory condition.
